    How to play

    Past departures

Catch up on a day you missed. Past departures don't count toward your streak or the daily ranking.

    FAQ

When does a new departure arrive?
At midnight in your own time zone. Everyone gets the same year on the same date.
How is the score worked out?
It's out of 1,250. Boarding on guess one is worth 1,000, then 800, 650, 500, 350 and 200. Each miss adds up to 25 for how close it was, so a near miss on a day you don't board still scores. The Timetable adds 50 for each event in the right month after your last try, plus 50 more for getting all four on the first try.
    What is the Timetable?
The second part of each day, straight after the year: four well-known events from that year, and the four months they happened in. Drag each event next to its month. You get two tries, and events in the right month stay locked in. You play it even if you missed the year, and your results show once both parts are done.
What do the underlines on my guesses mean?
Yellow means the guess landed inside the next time range. Grey means it didn't. Green is the hidden year.
    Why was my guess refused?
Guesses outside the years shown at the top are refused and don't cost a turn, because the clues have already ruled them out.
    Who am I ranked against?
Everyone who has finished today's departure so far. Only your first finish each day counts.
    Is my progress saved?
Yes, in this browser. There are no accounts, so your streak and stats don't follow you to another device.
